hollywood superstar johnny depp has donated two signed photos of himself to a north suffolk brownie pack.  members of the 1st fressingfield brownies will now have to battle it out in their latest fundraising efforts to become the proud owner of one of the prints.

the children have each painted their own fairytale-themed painting and have put them up for auction on eBay to raise money for the east anglian air ambulance.

brown owl wendy sayer said: “the paintings are on display at the king’s head, the low house pub, in laxfield until june 14, when the brownies will take part in the giant sleepover to raise money for “save the children and the air ambulance.”

one signed photo of johnny depp, who is rumoured to have bought a house in the area, will be given to the brownie who raises the most money on ebay and the other will be given to the member that gets the highest amount of sponsorship money for the sleepover.

“we are hoping to raise £1,000 for the air ambulance,” said mrs sayer.  “the children have had a lot of fun and we hope people will support them.”

johnny depp and the mad hatter!

entertainment weekly has confirmed that johnny depp will play the mad hatter in tim burton’s 3d version of alice in wonderland. we can’t say whether it will be live-action or an animated flick but if it is animated johnny depp will be voicing the part of the mad hatter.

personally, i would actually love to see johnny depp playing the part rather than doing the voice-over.  we know how great johnny is when he dresses for the part and i think it would be absolutely fantastic to see johnny as the mad hatter on the big screen.  i also think that tim burton’s version of alice in wonderland should be a wild trip!
